He was honored with the ESPN Perseverance Award and through his basketball camps and instructional videotapes has taught the skills of basketball to more young basketball players than anyone else in the world. He has been honored by some of NBA's greatest players and coaches. But the story is not just about basketball. It is about life, love, family and the challenges along the way. It is about learning to love and be loved. Don's journey had tremendous ups and downs. We are sorry to say that one of those challenges was a long battle with cancer. He lost that battle 60 days ago. We want this movie to honor a man who touched the lives of so many. We ask for your help in making this a movie that will honor Don Meyer and his life's work.
